Protecting Te Araroa Since 1970
Volunteer. Respond. Serve.
Welcome to Te Araroa Volunteer Fire Brigade, a registered charitable organization dedicated to protecting our community from fire and emergency situations. Located in the remote coastal area of Te Araroa, our volunteer firefighters stand ready 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to respond to emergencies and protect the lives and property of our community members. Our brigade has been serving the Te Araroa district for over five decades, building a proud tradition of service, sacrifice, and community commitment. We are part of Fire and Emergency New Zealand (FENZ), the national organization that coordinates fire and emergency services across the country. Our volunteers come from all walks of life - farmers, teachers, business owners, and retirees - united by a common desire to serve and protect their neighbors.
