Ways to Support Our Brigade
Whether you're interested in becoming a volunteer firefighter, supporting our brigade through donations or fundraising, or learning fire safety to protect your family and property, there are many ways to get involved with Te Araroa Volunteer Fire Brigade. Every contribution, whether time, resources, or knowledge-sharing, helps us fulfill our mission of community protection and makes Te Araroa a safer place for everyone.
Our brigade thrives because of community involvement. From the volunteers who respond to emergencies at all hours, to the supporters who attend our fundraising events, to the residents who practice fire safety in their homes - everyone plays a vital role in our collective safety. We welcome your participation in whatever capacity works best for you and your circumstances.

We rely on community donations and fundraising to purchase equipment, maintain our facilities, and provide ongoing training for our volunteers. You can contribute financially through donations to our registered charity (CC50116), attend and support our fundraising events throughout the year, sponsor specific equipment or training programs, or volunteer for non-firefighting roles such as administrative support, event organization, or community outreach activities.

Stay Fire Safe
Fire prevention is just as important as emergency response. We offer comprehensive fire safety education programs for schools, businesses, community groups, and individual households throughout Te Araroa district. Our volunteers can visit your location to provide fire safety presentations, demonstrate emergency procedures, assist with fire escape planning, conduct smoke alarm checks and installations, and offer advice on reducing fire risks in your home or workplace. Prevention saves lives, and we are committed to helping every resident understand and practice fire safety.
